Statement
Jeremiah Palecek’s work recontextualizes digital culture through the lens of traditional oil painting. Blurring the line between classical technique and contemporary imagery, he translates the ephemeral nature of internet visuals into something tangible and enduring. His paintings explore the tension between the digital and the physical, often distorting familiar digital iconography with expressive brushwork and rich, layered color. His work is rooted in both pop surrealism and post internet art, nostalgia, and the evolving role of paint in modern visual culture.
